Tilkynning um nýtingu kaupréttar Kaupskila ehf. á 13% eignarhlut ríkisins í Arion banka hf. - Fréttir

Bankasýslu ríkisins hefur borist tilkynning frá Kaupskilum ehf., dótturfélagi Kaupþings ehf., þess efnis að félagið ætli að nýta sér kauprétt á 13% hlut ríkisins í Arion banka hf. í samræmi við ákvæði hluthafasamkomulags, sem gert var 3. september 2009 á milli Arion banka hf., Kaupskila ehf. og fjármálaráðuneytisins fyrir hönd ríkisstjórnar Íslands. Í tilkynningu Kaupskila ehf. kemur fram að kaupverðið nemi 23,4 ma.kr. Bankasýsla ríkisins mun nú taka tilkynningu félagsins til skoðunar í samræmi við lög nr. 88/2009 um Bankasýslu ríkisins og lög nr. 155/2012 um sölumeðferð eignarhluta ríkisins í fjármálafyrirtækjum.

Icelandic State Financial Investments (ISFI) has received a letter from Kaupskil ehf., a subsidiary of Kaupþing ehf., in which the company gives an exercise notice of a call option to purchase the government´s 13% share in Arion Bank hf., held by the Icelandic state, in accordance with the shareholder agreement between Arion Bank hf., Kaupskil ehf. and the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Government of Iceland, from September 3rd, 2009. The purchase price totals ISK 23,4 billion. ISFI will now review the notice in accordance with Act no. 88/2009 on ISFI and Act no. 155/2012 on the sale process of the state’s holdings in financial undertakings.
